- First feature-length film - Lightning Over Braddock: A Rustbowl Fantasy completed in 1988, distributed in 1989. Lightning Over Braddock was shown at the Toronto Film Festival; Sundance Film Festival; Berlin Film Festival; USA Film Festival in Dallas; Seattle Film Festival; Denver Film Festival; Virginia Film Festival; Figueira da Foz in Portugal; Birmingham Film Festival in England. In Birmingham the film was awarded best of the festival. In addition to film festivals Lightning played in theaters, museums and universities around the country and aired nationally on the BRAVO cable network. Lightning was nominated by Independent Feature Project West for best first feature film
